#1.1.Wire Drive

#1.1.1.Wire Speed
------------------------------
The wire speed on our AGIE Wire EDM is in the range of 50-200mm/sec.
The spur gear of the drive is M1.5 15 teeth.
Circumference is (1.5 x 15) x 3.14=70.65mm.
Minimum RPM of the drive needs to be:(50 x 60) / 70.65= 42.46 rpm
Maximum RPM of the drive needs to be:(200 x 60) / 70.65= 169.85 rpm
The maximum RPM of the C3985435 Drive is 162 rpm
At maximum RPM VDCmotor= 9.16V and VDCpotmeter= 2.27V
#1.1.2.Wire Speed Display
------------------------------------------------------------
After some search we decided to use this display.
The motor speed servo AC 10kHz Voltage of 10V will be multiplied to 200VDC by using a voltage multiplier circuit.
This circuit will use of the shelve 1uF capacitors and 1N4004 diodes.
In an early trial we watched:
-A 4K7 resistor will limit the input current for security purposes.
-The output DC voltage needs a bleeder of 1Meg and a capacitor to remain stable.
-This circuit gives an output DC Voltage which is largely frequency undependant over a range between 2kHz and 200kHZ.
