EDM filter is generally used in mold industry in low speed wire cut electrical discharge machines, especially for plastic molds. So the function of EDM filter is to filtrate the working fluid, working oil and carbon deposition inside the flowing working fluid. In the practice, EDM filter is not replaced too often. One piece of EDM filter can be used one month. Here is one point that most operators should pay attention. When the cutting process is completed, please stop the water circulation system at least 30 minutes. Raw residue and dust, etc. will not clog in the filter paper surface, but fell to the bottom. When the next round of EDM cutting starts, the pressure tolerance of wire walking EDM filter paper will reduce.
