works just as well as press-n-peel. The only thing to look out for is
that it's not as "stable" on the paper. With press-n-peel blue, you can
run your finger over the printed image and it only transfers onto the
copper with heat and pressure.
With the cheaper alternative, if you rub the printed image on the paper,
it flakes off very easily. If you look at the top of the photo on the
follow up post, and around the edges of the board, you can see where
this happened.
If you print your board and immediately transfer it (not carry around in
your pocket for a day or so like I did) it's fine. Etch resistance is
as good as press-n-peel original. I'd recommend it!
